Ph.D. thesis

Johannes Kochems, participant in the TradeRES project, successfully defended his PhD thesis in economics last week, at the Technical University of Berlin. Parts of the thesis have been created in the course of TradeRES. The original German thesis title is „Lastmanagementpotenziale im deutschen Stromsystem. Einzelwirtschaftliche Bewertung gesamtwirtschaftlicher Potenzialschätzungen” which translates to “Demand Response Potentials for the German power sector. Micro-economic assessment of overall economic potential estimates”.

Ph.D. thesis

Helistö Niina, a dedicated researcher on the TradeRES project, successfully defended her doctoral thesis at the middle of the month on “Analyzing flexibility in energy system investment planning: Impact of variable renewable energy, temporal structures, and operational constraints” at Aalto University.

Ph.D. thesis

Ricardo Faia, participant in the TradeRES project, concluded this Monday his Ph.D. in informatics, at the University of Salamanca with a maximum classification. The thesis title is “Decision Support for Participation in Electric Markets considering the Transaction of Services and Electricity at the Local Level”.

TradeRES model AMIRIS open-sourced

The open Agent-based Market model for the Investigation of Renewable and Integrated energy Systems AMIRIS, one of the models used in TradeRES, has been published open source.
